What do you mean, “good luck”?

I send you all my best wishes for 2024, and this year, it isn’t just a polite formula.

We’re turning the page on 2023 with the discovery of new antibiotics (the first in 60 years!) by an AI, and the announcement of a highly effective mRNA treatment for skin cancer, available as early as 2025.

Without going back over the AI tidal wave of 2023 and the countless impacts it’s going to have on our lives and societies, I think we’re entering an exponential of technological progress that should let us face the future with a feeling that (it seems to me) has disappeared, and that is missing: optimism.

🙌 First “optimistic” resolution: I advise you to stop using the expression “good luck”, and to replace it with “I wish you an excellent day”. You’ll see the impact on your mood and on other people’s (the must-have is also to whip out a “why?” at anyone who says it to you — effect and smile guaranteed).
